Its has been a long planned wedding. It's just a day event for the guests, but there's a lot of planning behind for Celia's big day, especially on the clearing and packing up of the house. All the credit should all goes to my mum for all the hard work on the packing.

My 4th visit to Taiwan!

Yes! This is my 4th visit to Taiwan again. I simply love to move around in Taiwan, there's no language barrier for me and I love the shopping and culture there as well. This round, my travel mates are --> Ee Leng, Shir Li and Yong Hir. We set off on 24th Oct and return on 28th Oct. I think we need another day, kekeke... can't get enough of the shopping items ya :P

Future Star Hotel

Day 1, Fri 24 Oct

We touched down at Taipei at around 6pm and we head down straight to XI MEN DING to our hotel, Future Star. Its quite a good spot, its just about 3 minutes walk from the station. We have a quick dinner at XI MING DING, after which we went straight to Miramar Entertainment Centre to take the Ferris Wheel.

Day 2, Sat 25 Oct

We took the bullet train to Taizhong - Sun Moon Lake, this is my first time taking bullet train, the experience is quite good compared to the train taking to Ruifang previously. The seats are much comfortable and the journey is less than an hour. This is my secound time to Sun Moon Lake, its still the same after all, except the weather is much better than the previous and I also managed to take more of the Lake's views at this round. We still to take another 2 hours car ride at the bullet train station to reach Sun Moon Lake. At night, we went to Party World to sing, the room and sound is much better ya.

Day 3, Sun 26 Oct

Another long day as well, we are travelling ups and downs again to YANG MING SHAN to see the volcanic hills. After which, we head down to BEI TOU for hotspring followed by DAN SHUI and SHILIN night market. Oh ya, SHILIN's shopping experience its really a memorable one, we will at a shop at around 2am and the shop owners offer to send us back to hotel, really appreciate it, we have saved onthe cab fare.Taiwanese are just very warmed and kind hearted.

Day 4, Mon 27 Oct

Its shopping day! We want more shopping ya!!! We head down to Taipei 101 in the morning and our favourite shopping spot WU FEN PU as well. I din buy as much as the previous round, maybe we also came at the wrong date, cos Monday its meant for wholesale day. At night, we have streamboat at XI MEN DING.

October is not the busiest month for me, but its a fruitful month ya. So glad that I've manage to complete the "long waited" Demand TV catalogue, its indeed a lot of blood and sweats. Many thanks for the agency and content folks for helping to make this happen. Apart from that, my long-waited HK trip is cancelled as well, was quite disappointed about it apparently, but also glad that I have more time to rest before my sis's wedding ya.

We have dinner at Toa Payoh, the crab is delicious, so sorry for Jiabi that she can't take crabs. We also turn a durian into a birthday cake for her ya.

I'm back on my blog again. Been busy for work as usual, driving lessons, cleaning up my room, catching up with friends etc.

Celebrating Peiting & Cuiyi Birthdays

Never expect this to be so fun! The sabotage is so successfully done for Peiting. I think this shall be quite memorable for her. We bought her a pandan cake -a non-creamed cake for her, this is to unsure that she will not use the cake to 'attack' anyone of us. Followed by, a 'complimentary' drink - Guiness Stout + a raw egg, sounds yucky, but heard that its very "补" leh. Hahaha. This is just a 'warm up' for the celebration. The key highlight, its the Make Over Session for sure. This is so funny, we are laughing along when we put on the make-up for her.

As for Cuiyi's celebration. It's supposed to be a Birthay Surprise! The original plan is to surprise her at her door steps with cake, balloons, and wishes. The 罪魁祸首is the pack RICE! Never expect to bump onto her at her downstairs while she's making her way to buy a pack of RICE. Till now, I still cannot get over the "pack of rice" , this is so unusual to buy a pack of rice at 10 plus evening. The second part of the sabo is the CELERY JUICE and spring roll with CORIANDER sauce! Sounds heathly right? But I know Cuiyi hates it! On the following day, we have a makan session at Amara Hotel with Jiabi, Shirley, Peiting, Sharon, Stephanie and Me.

Batam Trip 2008

This is my 4th time to Batam. Its just a short get-away trip with Peiting, Cuiyi and Sharon. We have also stayed at the same resort - Holiday Inn and shop at the various shopping centres.

Olympic Roadshow @ Suntec

The Olympic's fever is so crazy for this year especially its the first time held by China. Been really really busy with this roadshow's preparation. Working late, burning my weekends, hurting my leg at the set-up. Well, this is really a great experience for me.

Sherine & Racheal Foo Weddings
Weddings again! Well, I know I have more to attend ya. Sherine's wedding is held @ Sentosa. Its really a heart-warming one with the music and sea breeze. As for Racheal's wedding, I'm so amazed with the dance on her second march-in, its indeed a lot of effort behind it. I do enjoy it ya!

Packing My Room

My room was in a mess for the longest time. I have no clue how to organise my thing and discard my unwanted stuff. Especially my clothes, its bursting out from the cupboard and the DVDs that I have bought over the years, its just flooding everywhere in my room. Any solutions to help me?

Wow! Its the 2nd half of 2008. It is really an eventful year - been attending baby shower, colleagues farewell lunches, weddings, etc. Well, I guess this is just part and passes of our daily life ya.

I believe I can fly! Hahaha...this sounds rather familiar ya. Many thanks to Cuiyi for the tickets to the Singapore Flyer, its my first time taking the ride as well. I have a great time with my secondary mates - Cuiyi, Peiting and Stephanie, we are just a brunch of 'crazy photo takers'. See the pictures that we've taken.

Hey! I'm back to my blog again! OMG! My last update was in Jan. Well, 2008 has been a busy year for me, its work and work for sure, but I hope to strike a balance between work and leisure at the same time. So far, no plan for long holiday, I hope to have ONE by this year end ya!

Its a brand new year for sure. I alway have new year resolutions for myself, but I seem to forget this totally for 2008. Hahaha, I guess I must have been busy till forget to think about it ya.
2007 is indeed a busy and fruitful year for me, been to few places for holiday, attend 10 weddings, change of job scope, picking up new hobbies etc... its a colourful and vibrant year ya!

I guess 2008 will another exciting year for me ya, take Jan for example, I have managed to lead a roadshow by myself, its really a experenice to remember for life, I never thought I have the chance to work on this roadshow, especially the portion on the 6 HK artises.

X'mas Shopping

Orchard Road is definitely not a place to miss during christmas, the christmas's decor and lights is just so nice for photo taking and most importantly the good shopping deals as well. Cuiyi and I took a day off to do Christmas Shopping, its has been our 'tradition' of doing so, our first stop of the day is MANGO, followed by Giodano, Taka, Paragon etc. Peiting and Steph also joined us for the 2nd round of shopping in the evening. You may see our shopping 战利品 loaded in Peiting's car. Its indeed a shopping day for us!

Office X'mas Celebration

I have alway looking forward to X'mas eve in office, especially the 'sure win' lucky draw portion. I have not been in good luck when it comes to lucky draw, my luck was pretty down, I won the last few cat of the draw which is the Wild Roses Voucher (I won this in 2006 too!) and $100 Taka voucher. BUT, its so surprisingly for me this round, I won the 'hottest dress' of the party, which is a $100 Tangs Voucher, it's so unbelieveable for me ya.

This is my 3rd visit to Hong Kong. The experience is great compared to the previous rounds, cos I have finally gotten the chance to go Disneyland and watch Aaron Kwok live concert in his homeland. I have to thank Stephanie for the list of the useful makan places and shopping tips and Kinki for helping to get the concert tickets.

Day 1 - 22 Nov
Me and Xueqin took an early flight from United Airlines at 6.40am. Oh well, you can imagine I have to wake up at 3am to get ready and reach the air port at 4.40am. The world is so small as well, I also taking the same flight to and from as Sharon. But its a pity, we didn't bump onto each other in Hong Kong.

We checked in to Dragon Hostel at around 12pm, the hostel's rate is quite reasonable, the facilities is quite basic and afterall its quite a decent place to stay.

After checking in, we setted off to Disneyland. I was quite disappointed for Disneyland, its just a place good for photo taking, after all, there's nothing much to explore beside the fire works in the evening.

Day 2 - 23 Nov
Oh YES! Its the concert's day. This is my first time watching Aaron Kwok concert in Hong Kong, this has alway my wish when I'm a kid. The concert is great as I have expected, he's simply a BORN PERFORMER. The songs, dance, stage effects, costume and mood is just on top of my expectation. Its a pity that, he will not hold any concerts in the next 6 years, I hope he will be back to the stage again.

Day 3 - 24 Nov
Its a shopping day indeed! We've been shopping non-stop from 10am till mid night. November is definitely not an ideal period to shop in HK, as the clothings are mainly winter clothings, there isn't much to choose from. We ended up buying a lot of facial masks, shoes and bags instead.

Yo... I'm back @ my blog again! November has been a very fruitful month for me, been attending events like party, wedding dinners, church wedding, birthday celebration and most importantly, my longed wish, watching Aaron Kwok's concert in Hong Kong.

Stephie's Office Warming Party @ Old School

It has been an 'eye-wide' experience for me, have gotten the chance to see quite a handful of local stars, from Kit Chan, Zoe Tay, Fiona Xie to David Gan etc. As the office is @ Old School, the dress code for the party is school uniform as well. Stephanie only managed to get RGS's uniform instead of our IJ's uniform, but the party does turn out to be quite fun, I do enjoy myself seeing different types of school uniforms worn by different people.

Weiling's Church Wedding

Weiling is my primary + secondary school mate, I'm really glad for her that she has found her Mr Right. The wedding has been a enlighting one with their warmed hearted speeches and the theme 'when pigs can fly' . I was quite puzzled at the theme aparently, but the meaning does serve a purpose, it mean something like - anything can be possible, even pigs can fly.

Can you imagine I have already attended 3 weddings in Nov? Tell me about it, it just happened at the same time, Nicole's wedding falls on 17 Nov and Wanjun's wedding on 18 Nov.

Have known Wanjun for almost 13 years or more, really glad that she has found her Mr Right as well. I was one of her sister for the wedding, again, I'm the main mastermind for all the sabo for the brothers, mmm... the brothers have been quite trickly, they don't seem to get to consume the food/drink that we have prepared for them ya. Anyway, its has been a long day for me, I woke up at 5am in the morning and also help out at the evening's dinner as well.

Stephie's Birthday Celebration

Its Stephie's 27th! This is just so unusual for us, no cake crashing this round, hahaha. It turns out to be a very decent and proper celebration, which is so unlikely of us. We already pre-bought her a wallet as a present followed by a penguin's toy - hahaha, that's my idea, its a very old school's toy, which is the penguin climbing on the ice mountain, i'm sure you have seen it when you are a kid and also not forgetting the penguin's mouth nail clipper by Peiting and also the speically DI drum idol picture featuring Stephie as the Drumer Rock Star. Also many thanks to my neighbour for helping out to DI Stephie's face onto the image.

Hey, I'm finally back to my blog again!

October has been the busiest month for me, I guess its likely to due to my work ya, cos I have lesser opportunities to meet up with friends after work. Sigh~ seem like its going to be the case for now till CNY 2008. Oh well... Let's drop this thought for the time being, I guess it happens to most of us for sure, work has never been finishing and time is just running out.

Just a quick updates on the things happening around me in October:

Deasy is back again for a short break, she seems to be happier and more relax as compared in Jakarta and most importanly she LOST WEIGH. That's really good for her ya! Besides that, I meet up with her together with Chen Hui and Feby & family. Its has been great to see them again, chatting and laughing out jokes that stires up past memories.

Ethan -> That's his name. My dearest nelphew, turns 1 month old on 13 October! Ping held a catering at her place inviting her families and friends to celebrate Ethan's baby shower. Ethan seem has grown bigger ever since I last seen him on the past 2 weeks. He is quite a cheesy baby, who always want people to carry him on hands ya.

Next, which is Jiabi and Shimin's birthdays. Oh well, I have to apologise for not able to attend their celebrations cos of my busy schedule. I guess you guys have a great birthday celebrations ya. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to guys once again, hope you have a great year by year!

Oh ya... not forgetting about Connie's wedding on 25 Oct as well. Her wedding is a indeed a special one. This is my 1st time experiencing a STAR WAR's theme wedding with the clips of STAR WAR's troops and the outfits of STAR WAR's worn by the groom and brothers for the march in. I guess Connie and her husband are typically STAR WAR's fans ya.

The Crab Feast!

I have been craving for crabs for quite sometimes. I just can't 'resist' when it comes to crabs, have been to a few places to try out some of the crabs, from Jurong West, Ang Mo Kio to No Sign Board. This round, we went to Toa Payoh, as recommendated by Cuiyi, I quite like the place as its not as crowded as I thought and most importantly the taste is ------> FANTASTIC!

Peiting has been nice, she picked Cuiyi and me from our work place, with the help of the map (as printed by Cuiyi from the website), we do have a pretty smooth journey without any lost of way or parking problem.

We are already straving like mad when we reached there, we have ordered broccoli with abalones, pork ribs, crab bee hoon and chilli crabs. The food is great so as the bill, it costs $113.90 for all of our orders. Its a pity that Peiting has some gastric problem, I doubt she will like the chilli crabs when she eats it ya.

Busy Busy September...

It has been a busy period for me, I have not been updating my blog for quite sometimes,it was Cuiyi who reminded me about it ya :P

As some of you know, I've been falling sick these days, I guess it must be the virus that is spreading through the air. No worry, I'm fully recovered, I'm now back to my drama craze days. Will try to post my review on the drama in the next post.

Been on a couple of Karaoke sessions these days, its has been shiok especially when you have not been singing for quite sometimes, some songs can just brigthen up your days when you start singing.

Also went for a steamboat makan mession with Edna and Xueqin at Liang Seah Street, I have to surrender again when it comes to buffet, I'm simply not a 'maranton eater'

Oh ya, not forgetting about this great piece of news. My nelphew has finally come to earth on 15 September 2007! Really so happy for Ping, he is the 1st child from our era, can't wait for him to call me auntie ya. Thanks god, he is healthy and cute. I hope he will be healthy and a good boy to be too! Cheers~

BLACK OUT... Lights ON please :S

I almost got a black out on Monday's morning, not sure what exactly have causes this, but I would say, this could be quite scarely if its just strike on without any 'advance notice''. Its so sudden and you have no way to stop this black out, I simply just lost my consciousness, and cold sweats just rolled it down and I can feel my heart beat are faster and my ears are blocked from hearing. I'm not kidding, if you have ever encounter this, you know what I mean ya. Thanks God, the doctor said I'm fine, not sure if this is caused by the lack of sleep, cos I have been watching Heart of Greed, as recommended by Cuiyi. The drama is real good, don't miss this out, if you are a drama fanatics like me :D

Aaron Kwok Dancing Nation Live Concert 2007!

Went to watch Aaron Kwok's concert yesterday with Michelle. This is my second time watching Aaron Kwok's concert, the last one is back in 2002. Wow time really flies, used to listen to Aaron Kwok's songs back in the school days , I was once his die-hard fan wor! Aaron Kwok has been singing for the past 17 years and he still look so good with his stunning dance movements ya.

He started off with his first great hit - 对你爱不完, the hype just went on when he sings 对你爱不完 not forgetting with the significant hand signs which bring us back to many memories ya. The music, dance and customs are great, espeically the 'Light bulb Suit' it is so cool especially with his moon walk dance steps. Not forgetting, the great hits that he sung like 狂野之城，铁幕诱惑，爱的呼唤，我是不是该安静的走开 etc...

The Waruku Nite...

It was Cuiyi's 27th birthday celebration, me and Shirley have been plotting to give Cuiyi a surprise.

The celebration took place at a Japanese restaurant, called Waruku located at Cuppage. Thanks to Peiting for helping to book the place - the place is great, we like the tatami style.

It was really a rush for me cos I was caught at a 5.30pm's meeting, but thanks god, it was ended by 6.40pm and I'm still in time to catch a cab down.

Cuiyi is indeed surprised to see us at the restaurant. I guess this is her second shock of the day after the flower in the morning :P

The food is great, although I don't take sashimi, the cooked food is already very appealing, especially the udon highly recommended by Peiting, the texture is quite chewy as compared to other udon.

We ordered quite a fair bit of food, from sashima, tempura, sushi to ubon...

The highlight is definitely the cake cutting. Oh well, I will say the culprits are always the usual clicks, hahaha... you may may refer to the picture to spot it ya... Not forgetting, to thank Jiabi for the cake, its from Baker Inn - the cake is great, we still got to eat it even though its being smashed.

We bought Cuiyi a bag, her favourite brand - PORTER. It was shared by, Peiting, Stephanie, Jiabi, Shirley See, Yogi, Jannie, Shimin, Sharon and me.

Taipei 2007-----> again

This is my 3rd visit to Taipei, have been going there for the past 3 consecutive years. The trip is accompanied with Cuiyi, Sharon and 3 of Cuiyi's friends. We set off on 18 Aug and came back on 22 Aug. Oh well, its really so lucky for us this round, there is a typhoon strike on the day before we set off, thanks god it was gone on the following day and the flight did not cancelled due to the poor weather condition.

Day 1 - Sat, 18 Aug

We took the flight from Jetstar, it was quite a good deal after all, it costs about $270 (round trip)at a promotional rate. This is my first time, taking budget airline, its really an experience for me. The seats seem a bit smaller and squeezy than the usual flights. But most importanly, there is no 'entertainment' ---> remember I'm a couch potatoe, I need TV!!! Really a challenge for me to sit through the 4 hours plus journey :P

We touched down at about 6pm plus, the sky was already dark by then, seem like Taiwan's day ends earlier than Singapore. It rained slightly with a bit of wind but its still not as jialat like the other states of Taiwan. We quickly checked in the hotel and head down to Xi Men Ding for makan. We are so hungry after the flight and we decide to reward ourself with a buffet meal, Taiwanese has a unique way to say buffet, they called 吃到饱, which mean eat till you really full. The 吃到饱 meal is actually their 麻辣锅, we ordered the 鸳鸯 type, which is the half spicy and half non-spicy.

Day 2 - Sun, 19 Aug

I brought Cuiyi and Sharon to the famous landmark of Taiwan - 101. It was rather quiet for a Sunday's morning to go there, cos there are mostly offices there and its not open on Sunday.

After 101, we head down to our favourite spot ----> 五份铺 , its a place that sell wholesale garments, it will be cheaper if you buy in bulks. Its a must go place if you wanna buy fashion clothings.

Day 3 - Mon, 20 Aug

On the 3rd day, we head down to 九份, we took an hour train ride, its a standing ticket, we gotta stand throughout the whole journey wor~

九份 is an old street mostly visit by Japanese tourists. You can easily find many different types of Taiwanese's tibits and snack.

At night, we finally head down to Taipei's most famous night market street - 士林夜市. Its something simlar to the Hong Kong's ladies street, but there have lots of street foods, we bought quite a few varieties to share among us like ah zhong mian xian, siu jian bao, bubble tea, chicken cutlet, taiwanese sausage and more... can't imagine we have eaten so much rite?

Day 4 - Tues, 21 Aug

The 4th day is really a mad rush. We started off with hot spring at 新北头 , heard that hot spring aids blood circulation, you should try it when you are at Taipei.

After hot spring, we head down to 淡水, to try out their super long ice cream and bought some of their seafood tibits and 铁蛋.

Later we covered wu fen pu and shilin to make up any last mintues shopping. We reached back to the hotel at almost 2am and packed till 4am.

Day 5 - 22 Aug, Wed

On the last day, we only manage to get up late in the morning. As usual, we make full use of the time we have to do any last mintue shopping, we head down to 101 again follow by xi men ding. Guess what? We saw Jacky Wu and NoNo filming at one of the shop at xi men ding, its really an experience to see them in person. Espeically NoNo, he looks much better off scene.

The artists are just everywhere...

In Taipei, most products are endorsed by famous artists, you can easily find some familar faces on a soft drink can, posters at MRT stations and streets etc.

Especially S.H.E and Fei Lun Hai, seem like they are 'everywhere' in Taipei...

YES! I passed!

YEAH! I finally made it this round! This is what I said to myself when I hit the ON SCREEN button, the feeling is so significant when I gotten the result. This is my 'don't know' how many attempts of Advanced Driving Theory Test, which it always so difficult for me to pass each time. Well, I can't wait to start my driving lessons ya. Mmm... Have been deciding whether to take a automatic or manual driving lessons, seem like I will opt for automatic after taking Peiting's advice ya. Anyway, I still looking forward for my lessons, it gotta be a new experience for me ya. Cheers~

The header sounds hilarious but its indeed FUN on that nite hahaha... Cuiyi, Steph, Jiabi and Me celebrating Shirley & Peiting 's birthday - the July Babies.

The Culprit!

It started off with the durian's feast at chinatown. I will say a big NO when it comes to durian, I simply hate the smell, but somehow Steph, Cuiyi, Peiting and Shirley ate it before entering the KTV... The smell is just so unbearable when they started to blurt. Faintzzzz

The Victim!

The night went on with the singing and chatting. The cake cutting was the high light of the night. The cake was bought by Cuiyi at Polar but its seem not the type that we can use to 'sabo' cos there's a hard chocolate topping.

As usual, we sing a happy birthday song and present the presents to both the July's babies. For Shirley, we get her a deuter bag pack which will be just as good for her frequent diving trips. As for Peiting, we get her a Nike's watch - seem like I roughly know what's her preference on watches.

Time for the cake feasting!

This is mad, but its fun, the 'cake fight' started off with Peiting, and then followed by me (yeah I finally take my revenge, but I also kanna the cake on my face and hair.) Cuiyi kanna the most among us, she even sat on the cake hahaha!

Jacky Rocks!

Jacky Encore!

This is my second concert of the year after Rain's concert. I would really put both my thumbs up - that's Jacky Cheung! Been gathering kakits to watch Jacky's concert, no doubts the charm's of Jacky do manage to get Jess & hubby and Xueli to join me for this concert. Oh ya, not forgetting Michelle, thanks for helping us to get the tickets, the views are good, we like it very much. Stephie was there yesterday too, she do enjoyed the concert as well. Wow its so shiok to hear Jacky sings "live"! His vocal is damm powerful, I started to develop goose pimples when I heard him singing, especially his classic songs like 每天爱你多一些，离开以后，爱是永恒，她来听我的演唱会，etc... I'm surprise I can even sing along with him ya.

The songs Jacky sung bring me back to my school days, especially the days when I started listening to canton pop - Jacky's songs has been alway in my FAVE's lists. Oh well, I really can't bear to leave the concert yesterday, will I have the chance to catch Jacky's concert again?

Things has not been doing fine for me these days especially when it comes to work, seem like work has getting more complicated so as the people, I still cannot understand why its so diffcult to get yourself organised and well prepared. :( sighzzz

Nevertheless I still looking at the brighter side, let's hope things will change for the better and I shall be able to find a new job soon. Wish me luck, I need it badly...
